  • Performs electrocardiograms according to established policies and procedures
  • Provides data for diagnosis of heart ailments Edits and forwards final test results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs studies of EKG's/Rhythm Strips and holter Monitors
  • Performs EKG editing as directed by Cardiologist
  • Downloads EKG's performed throughout the facility by other trained personnel, throughout the day
  • Assists Office Manager with processing diagnostic reports
  • Assists Office Manager with coordinating patient schedules and coverage needs as volume demands

EKG Tech needed for Phoenixville Hospital Heart Station

Shift: Occasional hours primarily to cover weekends 



  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Graduate of an accredited EKG program
  • Knowledge of basic EKG interpretation and Medical terminology
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Effective communication skills -
  • Ability to Multi-task 
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, sound decision making skills and problem solving
  • Must demonstrate competence in the assessment, treatment, and care of patients in all age groups from neonates to geriatrics 
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent interactive communication skills 
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality 
  • Transfers equipment from Heart Station to patient rooms.
