    The Staff Development Practitioner is a clinically competent registered nurse who effectively facilitates learning, staff development and socialization of learners. 

    Responsibilities

    Develops new models of education to meet the needs of a changing healthcare system. Uses assessment and evaluation strategies in education and participates in curriculum design and functions as a change agent, leader and educator.Conducts weekly Progress Conference meetings for all orientee’s on assigned units. Documents orientee’s progress and assures that measurable goals are established and assessed weekly. Collaborates with Directors of Patient Care areas to initiate corrective actions for clinical issues in order to promote positive clinical outcomes.

    Qualifications

    • Education: BSN required MSN preferred
    • Current license in the state of Pennsylvania
    • Current AHA BLS Instructor with current CPR Training required
    • IV Certification required
