    Responsibilities

    Assumes responsibility for the coordination of the Infection control Program. Conducts surveillance activities, provides infection control education, and assists in the development and revision of departmental infection control policies.

    Qualifications

    Education:

     

    Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing 

     

     

    Experience:

    •  Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background.
    • Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, program admistration and epidemiology.

    Licenses/Certificates:

     

    • Current license as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    • CIC (Certified in Infection Control) preferred.
    • Completion of CDC’s or APIC’s Basic Course in Epidemiology and Infection Control is preferred.
