The QI (Quality Improvement) Coordinator assists in supporting the quality, safety and service initiatives and goals of the organization, department, and service lines using Continuous Quality Improvement and Change Management methodology in managing process design, data collection, analysis and reporting outcomes. The QI Coordinator works closely with internal and external customers including but not limited to hospital administration, department directors and managers, members of the medical staff, and other health care providers, as well as outside vendors. The Coordinators serve as improvement team facilitators using skills and tools to drive change and assist in sustaining improvement through appropriate data collection and analysis.


  • The Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator supports the hospital in analyzing current practice patterns, identifying areas for improvement and developing methods to help implement and evaluate improvement changes.

  • Responsible to collect, analyze and report meaningful data to guide the system departments to deliver the highest quality, patient-and family-centered care to our community.
  • Supports performance improvement activities relating to patient safety, operational and clinical quality, and patient experience.
  • Assists with coordinating activities to ensure compliance with JC Standards, federal and state Regulations and other  health care regulatory bodies.



  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Laboratory Science or any other Health Care or Clinical related major.
  • *3 - 5 years experience in quality improvement activities, including data collection and management required.
  • NAHQ (National Association of health care Quality) Certification (Preferred).
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences.
