The Intake Coordinator team lead is responsible for the function of appropriately assessing and admitting adult/adolescent/child patients in accordance with current standards of mental health practices. He/She follows policies and procedures for the Intake/Admissions process for adult and adolescent/child population. He/She must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsible for reporting metrics and data as needed. Must possess professional communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge or certification in crisis de-escalation are preferred. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Responsible for day to day operations within the Intake dept including bed management, staff scheduling and evaluations, process improvements. This position will work closely with the Director of Admissions.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, mental health/behavioral sciences required, or related field or RN with 5 years experience with mental health assessment. Master's degree preferred.
