    • Provide nutrition services to hospitalized inpatients, outpatients, and community programs. Integrates nutrition care from the hospitalized patient to continuum of care.
    • Performs initial nutritional assessment of patients admitted to hospital, per policy.
    • Analyzes calorie count information and conveys recommendation to physician.
    • Formulates nutritional assessment of patients consistent with risk level and/or complex nutritional support utilizing age specific assessment guidelines.
    • Evaluates appropriateness and effectiveness of nutritional therapies and revise plan of care to promote optimal nutritional care of patient.
    • Accurately calculates nutrient needs for complex disease conditions and specific age ranges.
    • Develops plan of care based on patient/client individual need.
    • Communicates nutrition therapy recommendations to appropriate personnel utilizing appropriate channels of communication.
    • Additional duties as assigned.


    • B.S. required
    • Experience in acute care, out patient setting or teaching preferred.
    • Must be licensed as a Registered Dietitian. Proof of registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or eligibility to take the CDR of the ADA exam.
    • Able to handle emergency or crisis situations
