    The Employee/Labor Relations Specialist will provide guidance to employees and managers on the interpretation and application of organizational policies and procedures. Interact directly with all levels of managers  as well as employees to provide council, direction on all issues related to employee and labor relations issues in an unbiased and consistent manner while operating within appropriate Federal, State and Local employment laws as well as collective bargaining agreements. Review corrective action documentation and decisions. Assist HR Director in employee engagement survey follow-up and action planning activities as well as facilitating leadership development training. Reports directly to the HR Director.


    To qualify for this new and challenging role at Pottstown Hospital, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

    • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or related field.
    • Strong employee and labor relations experience preferably within Healthcare.
    • Experience facilitating leadership development training.
    • Demonstrated ability to formulate recommendations for corrective action based on investigation findings & internal policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state and/or local employment laws.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong documentation and attention to detail skills.
    • Ability to represent the Hospital in a professional and competent manner at unemployment hearings.
