    Director of Materials Management for Phoenixville Hospital

    Hours: Full-time, Days (40 hours per week)


    Responsible to the Senior Director Operations for the direction and oversight of Materials Management including Purchasing, Storeroom Operations, Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control and Distribution.  Chairs the Value Analysis Team meetings for new product consideration.  Sits as a member of the Environment of Care Committee.  Through effective leadership, creates an environment that supports/conveys the hospital's mission and vision to all employees.  Encourages and supports staff to take appropriate action and responsibility; to be accountable' and to take ownership of their work process and continuously improve performance.



    • B.A. or B.S. in a related field



    • 5 years inventory management experience, required
    • Experience and familiarization with contracts
    • Experience with Electronic Ordering
    • Familiar with the Lawson Materials Management System, a plus
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Strategic and operational planning skills
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
    • Strong leadership and facilitation skills
    • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
    • Team Oriented
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to manage change
    • Displays professionalism and embodies high integrity
    • Demonstrated procurement experience
