Quality Assurance & LIS Coordinator
This position is dedicated to information technology, generating meaningful quality reports and statistics and all quality aspects of quality. Laboratory Services will assume responsibility for all LIS validations of new, modified and existing systems and middleware and will work independently under the direction of the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services.
This position will require close coordination with the IT department for IT related projects, in conjunction with department leaders and or appointed task force team members to facilitate process implementation, monitor and collect data for assessment and evaluation of outcomes to identify areas of opportunity for improvement for the Pathology and Laboratory Services.
Chestnut Hill Hospital Laboratory is seeking a medical technologist to join our Laboratory as the Quality and LIS Coordinator. Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services, the Quality & LIS Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating all of the functions within the scope of LIS and Quality. The Quality & LIS Coordinator is expected to remain current with OSHA, CLIA, DOH, The Joint Commission and CAP best practices. Ideal candidates will have 2 plus years of experience as a bench Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory.
