  • Responsibilities

    Supervises Central Supply Department. Directs functions and activities. Performance Responsibilities; Assures compliance to various agency guidelines; Verifies accuracy and effectiveness of sterilization monitoring systems; Assures compliance with Blood Borne Pathogen standard and Universal precautions; Maintains satisfactory safety standards, providing a clean, neat, and safe working environment; Demonstrates the ability to enforce compliance to regulations and policies; Recommends new and revisions to policies and procedures for safety, infection control, and regulatory agency standards; Demonstrates continuous readiness for JCAHO inspection; Assures proper record keeping and documentation; Analyzes department needs; Forecasts supply needs and shortages; Maintains a steady flow of equipment and supplies; Recommends new products when appropriate; Conducts effective job interviews; Demonstrates the ability to effectively maintain costs within established budget; Maintains membership with Sterile Processing organizations; provides continuous training and education for staff; Demonstrates commitment to CQI by working together and acting in the team's best interest; Initiates new concepts and department improvements; Works harmoniously with other departments and outside contacts.

    Qualifications

    HS Diploma or GED (Required)

    IAHCSMM Cert or CBSPD Cert (Required)

     

    Minimum 1 Year Sterile Processing/Instrumentation Experience (Required)

    Leadership Experience (Required)

    1-3 Years Supervisory Experience (Preferred)
