  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Practice Manager is responsible for tasks related to the operations of the assigned practice site. These duties include overseeing personnel, practice operations, billing, patient physician scheduling and budget development. The Practice Manager directly oversees that policy and procedures are implemented promptly and efficiently, and ensure that the practice exhibits a positive image to the public. The Practice Manager works collaboratively with respective Billing Supervisor to address Revenue Cycle Management issues for assigned practice. Makes frequent visits to practice site. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Human Resource Function 40% -Routinely spends time at clinical site under his/her responsibility -Coordinates supervision of the staff of the assigned medical practice sites. -Assists the Director of Human Resources with hands on Human Resource functions such as recruitment and selection. -Monitors staff performance and reports back through performance evaluation. -Maintains the appropriate documentation of staff performance. -Monitors payroll performance of assigned practice. -Monitors personnel records, including sick leave, vacation, health insurance records etc. of assigned practice. -Alerts staff of new policy and procedures. -Assists in training and education of new staff. 2. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Function 30% -Monitors, pays and documents the medical practice's invoices. -Maintains copies of all purchase requests and invoices. -Reviews daily reconciliation of charges, payments and adjustments. -Reconciles medical practice expense account. -Generates monthly and annual financial reports. -Facilitates resolution of third party reimbursement issues with Clinic Site Office Staff and Central Billing Office Staff, as needed. 3. Client Service and Operations Function 30% -Builds strong client relationships and oversees client service in the clinic. -Handles patient complaints and concerns. -Treats all patients with respect, dignity, compassion and concern. -Maintains client confidentiality. -Ensures assigned clinics are operating efficiently and smoothly. - Manages inventory levels in clinic. -Oversees operations of assigned clinic. -Implements OHSA standards. 4. Performs other related duties deemed necessary by the Director of Physician Practices.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:
    - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration or related field (preferred).
    - Experience managing physician practices.
    - CPR certification (preferred).

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    - Current knowledge of Human Resource regulations.
    - Current knowledge of EPIC system.
    - CPT and ICD- 9 CM Coding knowledge.
    - Excellent oral/written communication skills are essential.
    - Focus on patient satisfaction excellence.
    - Word processing and Spreadsheet skills.
