    Responsibilities

    Assist the physicians in evaluating and treating patients. Prescribe and administer medications as dictated by the supervising physician in the written work agreement. Performs clinical procedures including: Venipuncture, ABG's,IV insertion,interpreting electrocardiogram, care of critically ill patients including cardiac and thoracic surgery patients .

    Qualifications

    • Should be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, with current NCCPA certification and current licensure in Pennsylvania.
    • Previous critical care/cardiac surgery experience preferred.
    • Position entails a great deal of walking or standing. May on occasion assist in heavy lifting.
