    Relocation is offered for this position. The work location is based in West Reading, PA, with occasional travel to other Tower Health hospitals and facilities.

    Responsibilities

    The VP/Chief Compliance Officer oversees Compliance/Privacy staff across Tower Health and is responsible for promoting and protecting the integrity and mission of Tower Health hospitals and affiliated entities. As VP/Chief Compliance Officer, your impact will include: 

     

    • Overseeing, monitoring, and auditing the Tower Health compliance program, including comprehensive education and training and ongoing review of standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Compliance Plan, including regular review of the Compliance Plan and approval by the Board’s Audit and Compliance Committee.
    • Facilitating compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
    • Obtaining guidance from outside counsel, as appropriate.
    • Practicing and promoting legal, ethical, and compliant decision-making and conduct across Tower Health.
    • Building strong working relationships enterprise-wide at all levels.
    • Providing guidance and advocacy as needed to a high-performing team of professionals.
    • Attending Tower Health Board meetings and reporting regularly to the Board and the Tower Health CEO.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
    • Certification: Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) required. Certification in Healthcare Compliance Fellowship (CHC-F) is preferred. Healthcare Privacy Compliance certification (CHPC) is a plus.
    • A genuine, strong Tower Health cultural fit.

     

    Minimum Experience

    • Leadership experience managing healthcare compliance matters.
    • Experience interacting regularly and directly with executive leadership as part of senior leadership team.
    • Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational environments, with integrity and composure.
    • Approachable leader with a proven ability to build and sustain trusting relationships across the enterprise.

     

    Preferred Experience

    • C-suite experience in a complex healthcare environment.
    • Experience integrating Compliance across a growing health system.
    • Attorney or Paralegal training and experience preferred. (Note: This position is not a General Counsel position.)
