    Responsibilities

    A certified cancer registrar and credentialed health information specialist who is responsible for all aspects of cancer registry data services in accordance with state law and the ACoS CoC. Provides overall leadership and responsibility for developing and implementing operational polices and procedures that ensure compliance with data standards and reporting requirements and provides guidance for the implementation of and compliance with cancer program standards necessary for CoC approval.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • CTR, with a background in registry management, minimum of three to five years  in the Cancer Registry and has experience with a minimum of one ACOS COC survey.

    Experience:

    • Three to five years minimum experience in Cancer Registry and a minimum of two ACOS COC survey.
    • Supervision/management in the Cancer Registry preferred.
    • Demonstrates increased and/or diversified responsibility in data management, analysis, and reporting.
    • Experience using a statistical database.

    Licenses/Certificates:

    Cancer Tumor Registrar required.
