  • Responsibilities

    The Practice Coordinator works collaboratively with the physician(s) and operational service line leadership to provide guidance and oversight for practice workflow and patient experience.

    Participates in the recruitment and selection process of staff, coordinates training and staffing schedules, responsible for site orientation of new staff.

    Resolve practice issues/concerns and escalates as appropriate to direct supervisor and acts as liaison with Clinical Coordinator between front office and clinical team to resolve patient issues/concerns.

    Assists with greeting all patients and visitors, assists with accurate and timely check-in and checkout protocols.

    Assists with Processing referrals and pre-authorizations/certifications as necessary.

    Assists practice with answering telephones, routing messages appropriately, medical records, faxing of documents and accurately scheduling appointments according to practice guidelines.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    Bachelor's degree or additional secondary education coursework is preferred.

    Proficiency in EPIC or Electronic Medical Health Records Systems.

    Ability to work independently, speak clearly and concisely with good telephone etiquette.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Experience in a medical office setting required.

    Knowledge of medical terminology and skilled in performing basic clinical and administrative procedures.

    Excellent organizational and computer skills. (Required).
