    Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Administrative Director and Lead Technologist, the CT Technologist performs high quality CT scans, contrast injections and patient care per hospital policies and departmental protocol.  The technologist demonstrates judgment to function independently.

    Coordinates the CT scanning examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.

    Works with the radiologist to set standards for CT to ensure quality in techniques, procedures and patient care.

    Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of
    the patient following the procedure

    Knowledge of reconstruction protocols (ie: 3D, angio, image fusion, etc.)

    Utilizes shielding /collimation to minimize patient radiation exposure, complies with Radiation Safety Procedures and ALARA principles; monitors own radiation exposure

    Qualifications

    Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
    Advanced ARRT/CT Certification is required

    1-2 years acute care hospital experince preferred                                                                                                                                              AHA BLS required
