The Pharmacist provides safe and effective drug therapy by reviewing and evaluating physicians' orders for correct doses, drug interaction, drug incompatibilities, and side effects. Clarifies with the provider any order that is questionable, incomplete or in conflict with the established policies, procedures, or professional standards. Provides drug information to other health professionals. Ensures timely distribution of the right medications to the right patient. Also has experience with both USP-797 and USP-800 admixture and compliance.
Oversees the day-to-day operational issues surrounding a hospital pharmacy, modifying, verifying,and monitoring provider orders; supervising technicians and students throughout the day; ensuring the safe preparation, delivery, and monitoring of all medications to our patients on campus.
Previous hospital pharmacy experience a must.
Experience with IV Admixture in both USP-797 and 800 exvironments.
Demonstrates knowledge of applied pharmacotherapeutic principals, kinetics, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Anticoagulant montioring, and other basic clinical skills.
Familair with EPIC CPOE and Sentri 7 Clinical systems.
Able to work indepenedently with exceptional attention to detail.
