    Responsibilities

    The Ambulatory Surgery Center/ Limerick is a free standing department of Phoenixville Hospital, which in turn is part of the Tower Health System. It is located at 420 Linfield-Trappe Rd, Building B, in Limerick, PA. It consists of 3 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms and a 10 bay pre-op and PACU area. The center does surgeries in a variety of specialties including: opthalmic, orthopedic, podiatric, hand, general, urology, plastic, pain and vascular.

     

    The Nurse Manager assures the provision of nursing care services in collaboration with other health professionals. 24/7 accountability for planning and comprehensive operations of assigned department. Demonstrates clinical proficiency in current practice and knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards within the field of nursing. Able to implement sound business and human resource management plans. Reports to the Division Director.

     

    The Clinical Nurse Manager also serves as the Administrator on site of the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Limerick. Responsibilities include management and scheduling of approximately 20 employees made up of nurses, technicians and clerical staff. Duties include the management of all aspects of the surgical center includes staffing/ scheduling, charges and ordering of supplies, performance reviews, hiring, payroll, block time management, survey preparedness,  as well as other miscellaneous administrative duties. Position reports to the Director of Surgical Services at Phoenixville Hospital.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
    • Master of Science in Nursing and/or MBA preferred.
    • Three years of leadership experience required. Experience leading staff through change. Experience implementing and leading new initiatives. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in Kronos, Lawson, Epic and with Shared Governance preferred.
