The section supervisor demonstrates the ability to work independently with strong organizational and decision making skills and, therefore, is responsible for the organization and direction of day to day operations of his/her specific lab section through effective utilization of resources. Ensures prompt, quality and appropriate lab testing by overseeing the performance and interpretation of various routine and complex laboratory tests. Maintains active and satisfactory working relationships with other Hospital and laboratory departments, committees and medical staff. Plans for the future development of the department within the constraints of the laboratory budget and Hospital goals. Manages staff effectively to insure the accurate and timely delivery of services.
Associate Degree in Laboratory Science required. 5 years of clinical laboratory experience required. Previous supervisory or management experience. MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), CLS(NCA)
