  • Responsibilities

    • The Director of Revenue Recognition is responsible for the accurate recording and reporting of all revenue and related statistics in all financial reporting.
    • Accurately records all activity related to monthly revenue cycle functions for all THMG entities, including charges, payments and adjustments.
    • Estimates appropriate contractual allowances and bad debt reserves according to Tower Health policies and procedures and prepare monthly journal entries.
    • In conjunction with leadership, evaluates reasonableness of all contractual allowances and bad debt reserves given internal trends and experience related to changes in business, payment history, fee schedules, etc.
    • Creates summary report for leadership to report on reserve status and make recommendations as to appropriateness of net accounts/receivables.
    • Works with THMG Quality Team and TH Managed Care Contracting Department to ensure proper recognition of all incentive or value based reimbursements and programs.
    • Ensures accurate recording of all capitation based arrangements and prepares analysis and comparisons of same.
    • Works closely with TH Director of Physician Revenue Cycle to ensure that revenue is timely and accurately captured for all services performed.
    • Understands and ensures accuracy of accounting entries generated by EPIC and other billing systems for all markets and new acquisitions.
    • Serves as THMG Finance main contact in coordinating all revenue recognition activities for all practice/physician acquisitions. Works with TH Revenue Cycle Management to ensure that adequate procedures and systems are in place to accurately record revenue related to all services performed.
    • Becomes fully competent in utilizing all revenue cycle systems and compatible report writing tools to generate reports and analyses.
    • Provides data as necessary in order to assist THMG Finance Team in preparing accurate revenue projections as part of annual budget process.
    • Coordinates revenue recognition activities with TH Corporate Finance Team to ensure consistency of same.
    • Represents THMG Finance in all initiatives related to system conversions, upgrades as they relate to revenue recognition.

    4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
